Nicole Rucker is a chef and author from Los Angeles. Formerly the pastry chef of the Gjelina Group (including G.T.A. and Gjusta), Rucker is known internationally for her rustic desserts and has won several awards for her homespun pies. In 2012, she won blue ribbons in the National Pie Championship, KCRW Good Food Pie contest and a Star Chef award for baking. She is currently chef and co-owner of Fiona and Cofax Coffee and is also finishing her first cookbook, ‘Dappled’ coming this July. Now available for pre-order.
Shawn Pham is a professional chef from Los Angeles. Following an internship at The French Laundry, Thomas Keller’s eponymous 3-star Michelin restaurant, Pham navigated the kitchens of Chef David Myers’ at Michelin-starred Sona, Tom Colicchio’s Craft, and later The Bazaar by José Andrés, in Los Angeles. Pham then moved to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for 4 years, which eventually led to the development and opening of his restaurant Simbal in 2015, a modern Vietnamese restaurant in Downtown Los Angeles. During its acclaimed run, Simbal earned praise from Eater, The LA Times, LA Weekly, CBS, Los Angeles Magazine, Zagat, Entertainment Voice, Observer, DT News and Munchies VICE. Pham works closely with Nicole as her culinary collaborator at Fiona.
